Cooking Courses

For the adults

These are not cookery classes with pre-determined menus, but 'sessions' designed specifically for you. If you are not confident about filleting your own fish, or cooking a dinner party, then now is the time to master some new skills. Colin, our chef, has over 20 years experience and is a master of beautiful food however he also has a passion for surfing, so is adept at producing a fantastic three course dinner and still having time to ride the waves!

We have put together some ideas, but each 'session' will be tailored to you. We can only accommodate 3 cooks at one time and the lessons will take part in your rental property. All ingredients are included in the price. Lasting two and half hours, a session is £35 per person (min of 2 persons per session).

Fish and Seafood - with fresh fish straight from the boats at Port Isaac, we are in a perfect location to teach you about; buying fresh fish and seafood, skinning, gutting, filleting and preparing some contemporary recipes.

Dinner party menus - Colin will teach you how to cook a three course dinner, that won't take hours to prepare but will impress your guests.

Desserts - We'll put forward suggestions of desserts we think are delicious, easy to prepare and glorious to look at and you can choose 3 to learn during this session.

Canapès - It's the ideal way to get guests mingling before you sit down for dinner, but they are so time consuming to make, or are they? Colin has some tricks up his sleeve so that you can upgrade your 'nibbles' into sophisticated 'canapès'.

For the Kids

To encourage novice chefs it's best to start with dishes they love to eat; home-made pizzas, spicy chicken wings and chocolate brownies always go down well, but once again these sessions are designed around the kids age, capability and tastes. Sessions last 2 hours and cost £30 per person (min. of 2 children per session)

All the food you make during the session is for you to eat afterwards.
